++...and also, for all you fans out there, check out some screenshots of Herzfeldt's new film "im so proud of you" (chapter 2 of "everything will be ok") at Don's Journal over @ BitterFilms.
"Throwback Thursday" @ NiceKicks!
Last Thursday's offering of the "Nike Air Flight High" (..."Air Flight '89" to da kiddies!), brought back some fond memories...

Waxing nostalgic every week over the "butter-back-in-the-day", puts not just a little smile on my soul (...um...sole?).
Aah good times, good times... *sniff*

Friday
Treeson x Mimobot...."Wired!"

Treeson and Mimobot's latest offering has just been featured in WIRED...
...and my geeky lil' heart is (again) all a-flutter!!!

Bubi Au Yeung's Treeson
"...the design of this treeson mimobot is not easy than i expect, esp the implementation of those irregular spikes on a smooth mimobot platform. Maybe this is the reason that treeson look a bit special."
--Bubi (milkjar sketch blog)
...a "bit" special? I say it looks TOTALLY special!
And just on a side note, I seriously ask myself sometimes, how many Mimobot flash drives do I really *need*?
And the answer? Prolly not that many...
But how many do I *WANT*?
ALL OF THEM!!!

As a perennial wearer of "black", I am definitely feeling this ad campaign.
...and can I just say, "good guys wear black too"! (...and those with 'winter-weight' issues. *both me.*)
Cool Clouds!
...check out these 10 Very Rare Clouds @ CoolThings.

Aah yes..."nature" really does the best CG.
(...ALIENS! *Eep!!!*)
And here's an awesome vid of
"Cloud Streets"
*...and while you're admiring these pics, I suggest you have this FotC track playing in the background...just for, y'know, 'ambience'.

Ninjas. With. Guitars.

I am, at this moment, both inspired...and demotivated.
(...and also wondering if "NinjasWithGuitarsDotCom" is taken...hmm...)
Wednesday
Well, you can't (SHOULDN'T) fry bacon nekkid.
3,803 Pieces of OMG!!!

O. M. G...indeed!
...and something our 4 y.o.s. and I can get a few EPIC sessions of *Pew-pew!* with...
(I mean, I LOVE the "Lego Death Star II"
...but the lil' monster doesn't quite get the concept of "For Display Only!")
The only way this could get awesome-er (I KNOW that's not a word), is that if it was in the same scale as the "Ultimate Collector's Millenium Falcon".
But perhaps that's asking too much.
Tuesday
R.I.P. George Carlin.

Iconoclastic comedian George Carlin,
"...Who Chafed at Society and It's Constraints, Dies at 71." --NewYorkTimes
Pictured here is Carlin's (in-?)famous arrest (and mugshots) in 1972 after a performance of his monologue "Seven Words You Can't Say on Televison"...which led to the subsequent FCC, Supreme Court rulings...
"So my name is a footnote in American Legal history, which perversely I'm kind of proud of." --George Carlin
Here's a 1978 performance of:
"Seven Words"
*Warning: The following video contains explicit words...seven of 'em, in fact. (...well, nine if you count 'fart' and 'turd'. Which I don't.)
Friday
Dunk Hi 1 Piece Premium x Medicom Toy!

i RRRIKEY!!
I know, I know...I'm "on the wagon"...
...the 1Piece Dunks have never 'creased' right for me anyway, particularly around the toebox...*
(...to any, other than heads, that last sentence *may* sound a wee bit nonsensical...slash wanky. Sorry.)
*Now, let's see if my brain let's me hold up that excuse when they drop at the 'yoosh doors', shall we?

Wednesday
R.I.P. Stan Winston...

...and I'm *still* in shock.
The Oscar-award winning special effects guru passed away on Sunday after a battle with "multiple myeloma" (a blood-cancer). He was 62.
Stan Winston's special effects has definitely had a profound impact on my celluloid experience over the years, as I'm sure it has in countless others who've ever seen *any* of his films.
(...CG? SCHMEEGEE! I've always loved it when Winston kicked it "old school"! Respect.)
Stan Winston, you will be missed.
Tuesday
Demotivator.

Ok, ok...I'll stop playing silly-buggers with the "Automotivator" .
Soon.
(...or, at the very least, do it right.)
Our 4 y.o.s. has just gotten into "Lego Star Wars" on the 360, and I started to explain to him the allure (...um...to some folk...not to me of course...ahehe...) of "Slave Leia" ...and promptly stopped.
Perhaps letting him watch the flicks will provide better insight...when he's older.
More "Clean" Graffiti!

"Sneak...Art?"
Hm. Interesting concept. Not really blowin' my mind though...
(..."Heads", especially, will roll...and hate. Sorry.)
Is it art?...or arts&crafts?
Is it like calling "scrapbooking", "art"??
Although the "Customs" section? Now *that* I dig!! (...for my 'lappy' even!)
Joker's Boners.

"Cup of Brown Joy"
via FotW
Hm...
...not for nothing, but I myself have been called (among other things) the "cup of brown joy" on more than one occasion.
Just sayin'.
(...wait, that didn't sound right... o.0)
"Los Simpsons"
...*blink-blink*......um...okaaay...
I was half-expecting (all-hoping?) a white-dude version of "Chespirito" to walk in spewing some funny Americanisms...
...though to be honest, I didn't/couldn't sit through the whole thing...so, I guess he could have. THAT would have been funny.
(Oh wait..."Krusty the Clown"? Now THAT would've been CREEPY.)

Wednesday
How To...um...Sex?*
-- a Retro(I hope...) Japanese "Sex Manual"? (I think. 'Coz me habla no Japanese. Howsabout a translation, Noelie! )
Here's some highlights!
"Hand-holding 101"

Ooohboy...a difficult manoeuvre...thankGORD for the 'step-by-step'! *Phew!*
...and of course we all know what hand-holding leads to... "BABIES!!!" AAaargh!
No, wait...hand-holding can lead to "BOOBS"!
(*teehee*...I just typed "boobs"......*TEEHEEHEE!* I just did it again!!!),
So, everyone, pay heed to the arrows!

...y'know, they went to all the trouble of gluing rubber boobs/nipples on a card-board cut-out of a woman...you would think they could've at least "numbered" the damn arrows?! (...waaaitaminnit!!! Isn't that the moves to do the Shoryuken???)
??

Oh.
*That* old chestnut. (Pun. Intended.)
But really, "it had me at herrow..."

Check it out in ALL it's glory @ HelloDamage!
Tuesday
(Arguably) The BEST 8 seconds on the intarwebz!
...and Here,*again*, is FotC's "Issues-akaThink About It" ("Pre-HBO", and one of my fave FotC clips EVER!)
A song in which they tackle the big issues such as (among other things) imaginary parenting, rogue unicorns, and monkey-touching.
Fush! (...sorry...could'nt help myself...)
the ninjas will *shh!* you

It has taken MONTHS for me to come up with something deeply profound...
...and the wait was worth it methinks!
I have just put the "FUN" back in "profundity"!
