...'coz I'm not as mean as the "poms" at Harry Potter Enlightenment Program who bring you this Spoiler Tee, that would surely make the kiddies (and not a few adults) cry...heehee!...although yellow makes my arse look big...
Wank.
...are you f*ckin kidding me? I mean it's an alright bag...but to call it the "Blogger" Bag is such a complete wank of a marketing ploy! Do bloggers really have specific needs that have to be met??? Maybe a secret compartment for your Blogger Membership card??? What a load of bollocks! It's just a friggin' lappy bag!

...the source of much internet musings...interesting...
...and "taking things a bit far?"... A perfect example of the effects of viral marketing, and letting the nerds of the world (yo, it's aaaight! I am one) do your marketing for you...this guy in particular is hilarious (and, I admit, at times informative)
I hit up UCC Coffee at the Podium last night for dinner, and to see for myself this "Cliffhanger Sandwich" I've heard about......well, it's basically a bacon & egg, and cheese sandwich (well, two of them combined), 'breaded' (with more cheese, I think), then deep-fried...
Yup, as you can see, it's a serious culinary feat... I had a Pavlovian Reaction when I saw this bloody thing!...with my arteries protesting (or was that my sphincter clenching), I finished half of it...
*...that's half a cantaloupe......and I had a 359pesos cup of coffee (which is about $5...so the price of a Starbucks Venti latte at home)...which tasted just like any other coffee I've had here...WTF? (I miss Sydney coffee! Any cafe in Darlo!!!)

Voltron 20th Anniversary Masterpiece Edition

...I spent the weekend toy-shopping, on the hunt for any "Blues Clues" merchandise to bring back for the Prez-man...I must have gone to every toy store in Manila and I still came up empty handed! (he's not gonna be happy...how hard can it be to find a "Joe's Heart-Shaped Notebook"?!?).
Fake Roadsta's to BURN!
...copped these at a mall(?) called Greenhills on Sat. morn...
One of the (many) reason's I've gone cold on the 'Ape...these look almost as good as the real thing!
I'm gonna put 'em on the barbie and see if they BURN as good as the real ones!!! (*insert maniacal laughter here)- I'll take some vid, and post it on the 'Tube. Keep an eye out!
They were charging 1500pesos (about $30), probably 'coz I mistakenly asked in English...so then I tried my hand at haggling...
Me: "Magkano!?!" (how much!?!- in a slightly raised voice)
(unbelievably tiny) Saleslady: aahmm...1300?
Me: "last price, CASH!" (I don't know what that is in Filipino)
U.T.S.L: aaaaaahhhmmm.......1250?
...then I do the obligatory: F*ck it!!! (and start the "turn and walk away")
U.T.S.L.: okey, okey, sir...750?
Me (pushin' my luck): 500.
U.T.S.L.: Okey sir.
Me (with two-handed 'raising the roof'): SUCCESS! (...yup, the roof -raisin' brought a few stares my way)
...I went a bit overboard with the negotiation for something I didn't really want, and is just going to the torch...oh well...small price to pay for 'art'.
Yup. Greenhills is a must visit if you find yourself in the Phils. It's like a cross between a (indoor) flea market and a mall. It's definitely fun...if not slightly creepy, (being bombarded with "dbd sir" from these weird dudes who seem to sidle up from nowwhere...as well as the occasional "Psst! (what is it with that?) Porno, sir!"...in a faux sotto voce...
All in all, a good place for a bargain (if you're not too fussed about quality), and it's "Knock-Off City" (for fashionistas on a budget)...but sneakerheads? This place will just give you the sh*ts! (not litterally)...but the raw pearls are sensational!

Monday
...one of my favorite lines in Transformers...(and my new creedo).

Michael Bay has sucked the realism out of yet another film...but in this case it's ok!
So...I've seen it...and I guess
...Gramma won't be eating no babies...
Ok, ok...I had fun, aaiiight?... granted that my expectations were probably as low as it could get...nevertheless...
And, also because I only paid $3.50-ish...'coz I'm at the Phils. at the mo' (had too shush a few people though..what's up with that??). If I paid the usual forty bucks for "Gold Class", it'd probably be a different story...
Shia Lebouf (what a name!) was pretty good as the "Not-Quite-Spike" lead...Megan Fox was 'eye-candy' ( nothing wrong with that)......and reppin' Oz, Rachel Taylor! (man, that accent really pops, dunnit'?).
And of course, John Turturro was gold!...as usual...
I wasn't too bummed about the designs straying from the G1's...wish Starscream was close though...But I'm glad Bumblebee was a Camaro. (a VDub can't save the world, c'mon!). And where was Soundwave??? Did I just miss him?
Optimus Prime?...he seemed a bit too goofy in some scenes...and what's with the lips?!?...he can't be dignified with lips!!!
...I'm actually looking forward to the sequels...and they better have Grimlock, the Constructicons, Unicron!!!...and the mini-cassettes (...dad...whats a "cassette"?) Grandslam and Raindance, who together form...waaiiitforriiit......"Slamdance".
Sweet.
Michael Bay is still a dick. (...but not for this movie).
