Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and apologies again for the sporadic/lack of posts (see prev. post)... ...I'm still busy eating way too much over these holidays. Trying to put on some "winter-weight" (though it is summer here below the equator...but Shhh! Don't tell anyone!).
But here's a cult-classic *circa 1964(?) to help pass the time... ...or not.

Success!

A nice illustration depicting the "Road to Success".

One Laptop Per Child.

One learning child. One connected child. One laptop at a time.
"The mission of One Laptop per Child (OLPC) is to empower the children of developing countries to learn by providing one connected laptop to every school-age child. In order to accomplish our goal, we need people who believe in what we’re doing and want to help make education for the world’s children a priority, not a privilege."

Now extended through to 31st of December!!!
In the time of year when we (ok, maybe just me) get become "Uber-consumers"...what better way to really get into the "spirit of Christmas"!!!
*...and totally feeling the design on this "XO" lappy!...and the specs aren't half bad either...
Check out OneLaptopPerChild now!

The Modern Jesus*
I was out shopping for Chrissy pressies for the Prez-man on the weekend...(and it's almost next to impossible to find anyhting for the boy who has everything!).
This year he has asked for a fishing rod...(also, some "guinea fowls"...whatthe???).
Some Tweeps' have suggested a couple such as This (thanks Maxweb! )...and This (thanks Rabbitroodle!...though I might get this for myself! Rocket-fishing? Gold!!!).
So, I was at the mall yesterday searching, when I happened on (luck? Methinks not!) these fantastic posters at a "christian" shop...and I just could not pass on 'em! (and at 50cents a pop? Printed on heavy cardstock? Whatta Barg'!...if nothing else than to be able to post these pics!)...
Now bask in these!

Adam Phillips'
"Waterlollies"
- Now Showing!

Adam Phillips' (Flash Master, and one of the nicest people in the biz!) latest installment to the world of Brackenwood, "Waterlollies", is NOW SHOWING!!!
Actually, it's been showing for a few weeks now (at BiteyCastle, Newgrounds, YouTube, etc.), and I've been meaning to post it...(sorry Adz!)...
...But every time I've tried, I mean EVERY time...I get sucked into watchin' it again... ...and then I'm reduced to a near catatonic state of "AWE" (all-caps!). Awe, at what this talented, sexy (wait, whu??) MoFo can do with Flash...(and considering what Flash was originally made for, this, as well as his previous works, are amazing, amazing accomplishments!!!)... ....and I forget what I was doing and walk around in a daze of inspiration...
But not this time!...This time, I will not press play. This time, I will get to post it...really I will...
Congrats Adz, on your latest, and best work to date! A stunningly gorgeous piece of work!!! Can't wait for the next one...
"Waterlollies" - a Brackenwood Story
P.S. Dude, water droplets...three levels (in my count) of tones/hi-lites/etc., plus "spherical" light/bg reflection-refraction?...in Flash?? Are you fracking kidding me?!?...Genius!!! EEEEK!!! (<- *manly-fx-geek-shriek*).
P.P.S. (or is it, P.S.S.?)...Brackenstore? Medium, please. Ta.

Mimo...LOVE!
Mimoco's "Star Wars Series 2" Mimobots!

Mimoco, producers of the Mimobot: Designer Flash Drive, have announced the upcoming release of the limited edition Star Wars Series 2 flash drives!...their follow-up to last year's "geek-must-have" ...(Darth & Artoo have sold out, but Chewie and the Trooper are still available...but be quick!).
Series 2 starts shipping in Feb. Pre-order yours Here!
Mimobots, to me, are like designer toys that actually serve a practical purpose (other than just sittin' pretty on yer shelves). Well, that's as good an excuse as any to exercise my obsessive-completist tendencies...
"How many flash drives could a person possibly need?", you may ask... Actually, if you have to ask, just stick to your SanDisk (or whatnot)...KTHANXBAI!... ... ... I said 'good day, sir'!
...um...I know all ya'll are racking your brains about what to get me for Chrissy... Stuff my two front-teeth!!...just two words baybee:
Boba. Fett.

...or, I'd settle for the Halo Mimobot...
Mimoco via GalacticEmporium via Mimobot's Twitter
P.S. The Mimobot is cooler than this: (but only by a lil' bit...)

BBC/ Ice Cream New York
Billionaire Boys Club X Ice Cream opened it's newest (third) store in New York last week. The flagship is, once again, designed by Wonderwall.

Just in time for the holidays!

New York, NY 10012

More pics/info/vid links via Freshness!(<-love these guys!)
Lately, in much the same way as Bape, I'm also a little "meh" about BBC/Ice Cream...$80+ tees??... ...all caps "MEH"?
But Wonderwall's shop design is always, always off the chain!!!

The Outrageously Politically-Incorrect Adverts from the Time Equality Forgot...

1953: You don't need a knife, a bottle opener or even your husband to unscrew the cap of this bottle - just a little twist of the Alcoa HyTop Closure, made of pure aluminium, and that ketchup is ready to pour...
"...and there is no doubt these adverts - many taken from the first half of the last century - reveal just how much women used to be caricatured as downtrodden housewives or hair-brained office girls." -- DailyMail Uk

1953: You don't need a knife, a bottle opener or even your husband to unscrew the cap of this bottle - just a little twist of the Alcoa HyTop Closure, made of pure aluminium, and that ketchup is ready to pour...
1952: Is your coffee pressure packed for extra freshness? If hubby can tell you're not making Chase & Sanborn coffee for him, well, you've been warned...
1930s: You do all the houshold chores - and still look fresher every day, darling. What's your secret? A bowl of Kellogg's PEP vitamin cereal for breakfast, naturally.
1953: Husband furious because you've missed the post? The Pitney-Bowes Postage Meter prints the stamp and seals the envelope all in one go.
